Angel R. Guajardo

Angel R. Guajardo passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 1, 2023 with his loving daughters at his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Erendida, nee Esparza. Cherished Father of Veronica (the late Brian) Srmek Guajardo and Karla Guajardo. Loving son of the late Jesus and Isabel Guajardo, Dear Brother of Jesse (Nettie) Guajardo, Martin Guajardo, Aurora Guajardo, Patty Guajardo, and the late Severiano, Alberto, Juanita, Mario, Felix and the Eugene “Coco” Guajardo. Dear Brother-in-law of Criselda (Alfonso) Vasquez, Ines (Sylvia) Esparza, Salvador Esparza, Lupe (Maria) Esparza, the late Jose, late Angelo and late Leonardo Esparza. Angel will be lovingly missed by his many Godchildren, Nieces and Nephews. A very hard working man, Angel worked for Reynolds Aluminum for 25 years before his retirement in 2003. A kind, loving supportive man, Angel was always there to help his family and friends. He had a huge heart, was very generous and offered help whenever needed. He will truly be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Visitation is Sunday August 6,2023 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave. (55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 8:30 AM until time of Prayers at 9:30 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Blasé Church for a 10 AM Mass of Christian burial. Angel will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife at Resurrection Cemetery. Angel Guajardo was born in Osceola, Arkansas. Raised in Harlingen Texas until he moved to summit Argo to live with grandparents in his late teens to make a better life for him and his family. He was married for 41 years to the love of his life. They raised two daughters together( Veronica & Karla). He was a very hard-working employee of Reynolds Aluminum for 20 plus years. He then later retired and fulfilled one of his biggest dreams of retiring back to his hometown of Harlingen Texas. Where he and his wife became winter Texas spending 6 months of year in Texas. Until the passing of his beloved wife in 2016 when he became a permanent resident of Texas. He was humble and loving man who cared for everyone. He was always there to help anyone. He was a father figure to his siblings and many nieces and nephews. He was the glue to his family. A man of few words. A man with a heart of gold and a friend to all that crossed his path. A very respected man that will be missed by all. No better name could have been given for such a great man. Angel you will be missed by all. Well done good and faithful servant, may the Angels lead you into heaven.
