Livier Marquez (Pérez) November 10, 1930 – April 9, 2026 Livier Marquez, 95, of Summit, IL, peacefully entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on April 9, 2026, surrounded by the love of the family she spent a lifetime building. Born in 1930 to Maria Muñoz Tostado and Francisco Pérez Marquez, Livier’s life was defined by an extraordinary capacity to love. As a loving wife and mother of ten, she was the heartbeat of her home—a master of multitasking, a quiet listener, and a woman of unshakable faith. Since immigrating from Mexico over 64 years ago, Livier and her husband Lupe were parishioners of St. Francis of Assisi in Chicago and she was a devout member of La Asociación Guadalupana. Her kitchen was a place of endless nourishment, and her heart had enough room for every child, grandchild, and neighbor who walked through her door. While we will deeply miss her quick wit, strong spirit, and the cherished Sunday dinners that anchored our family alongside our Dad, we find immense comfort in knowing she is finally at peace. After 95 years of tireless service to her family and friends, she has claimed her seat at the heavenly table. She was preceded in death by her loving husband , José Guadalupe Marquez, her 6 siblings: Santos Pérez, Adelina Pérez, Damiana Pérez, Maria Dolores Pérez, and Francisco Pérez, and her parents Maria Muñoz Tostado and Francisco Pérez Marquez. Her incredible legacy continues through her ten children: Maria de los Angeles “Gela” Gonzalez (Jesus), Maria de Jesus “Chuy” Gonzalez (Jesse), Ramiro Marquez (Margarita), Enriqueta “Queta” Faught (Kenny), Imelda Gaughan (Danny), Delfia Mercedes Mondragon (Miguel), Javier Guadalupe “Lupe” Marquez (Gina), David Marquez (Rosa), Livier Berenice “Betty” DeLira (Juan), Guadalupe F. “Kiko” Marquez ; 27 grandchildren; and 42 great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on April 13, 2026 from 4pm-8pm at Foran Funeral Home in Summit, IL. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday morning for an 11 AM Mass at St. Blase Church (Blessed Martyrs of Chimbote), Summit, IL. We will go in procession from the church to Resurrection Cemetery where Livier will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
