Written by Jorge Lopez in honor of his uncle: On June 12th 2021 Saturday 12:30 p.m. my uncle Agustin Mercado went to be with our Lord. He was a prayer Warrior always praying without ceasing. Praying for our family which I know and got us through a lot of tough times. Whoever said that prayer does not keep a family together you never met my uncle and my mother they're both were prayer warriors, and even though people may hurt them throughout their lives they never stopped praying for them; but isn't that what a good Christian is supposed to do? Jesus said, love those that despise you, bless those that curse you because in the end of our lives we want God to forgive us. Shouldn't we forgive others doesn't mean that we forget, but we take it to the Lord in prayer so we won't sin. The Bible says, be angry but sin not we have a right to be angry at the people that hurt us but it has to be righteous anger what God tells us to also pray for those that hurt you because what I noticed about these two wonderful prayer warriors is that they didn't let their anger control there life or their belief in God because when you look at it, it's true what the Bible says, naked I came out of my mother's womb naked I shall return blessed be the name of the Lord. One thing I learned from those two prayer warriors, a good prayer and a good conscience makes a very soft pillow something that we could all take to heart and learn from including myself. Well those are my thoughts as I reflect on my mother and uncle's death, May the light of God shine on both of their hearts and souls. They will always shine upon ours so I will leave you with the same prayer in the same words my uncle and my mother always said to me, may the Lord bless you may the Lord keep you may the Lord guide your Footsteps in every direction and may the Lord bring you safely home good night and God bless you all
