Eugene R “ Gene” .Rubel, age 74. Longtime resident of Summit, Illinois passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2022 . He was the loving Father of Gina Rubel and proud Grandfather of Gavin Akerman. Beloved ex-Husband of Grace Rubel. Dear Brother of Leonard Rubel and Sylvia (late Robert) Poplawsky. Gene will be missed by his many cousins, nieces, nephews and his many many friends. Visiation is Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th street just west of Harlem). Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 8:30 AM until time of Prayers at 9:30 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Blasé Church for a 10 AM Mass. Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery Garden Mausoleum.
