Harold “Hal” Guttke

Harold “Hal” Guttke Cicero P.D., Veteran Marine Corp Viet Nam War. Beloved Husband of Marilyn,nee Butler. Loving Father of John Thomas (Lynda)Guttke, Kerry Ann (Zoran) Mataija and Anthony Harold Guttke. Proud grandfather of Richard, Teresa, Alexander, Cassandra and Samuel. Dear Brother-in-law of Patrick (Ginger) Butler, Richard (Maribeth) Butler, David (Kathi) Butler and Mary Fran (late Dennis) Rhude. Hal will be missed by his many friends and colleagues. A life long resident of Cicero, Illinois Hal was proud to be a Cicero police officer for 23 years and a member of the VFW 96 Cicero Post. Hal was employed by Orkin Pest Control for 39 years. Visitation is Monday, January 18,2021 at Foran Funeral Home, 7300 W. Archer Ave.(55th Street just west of Harlem) from 4 PM to 8 PM. Visitation on Tuesday from 8:30 AM until time of prayers at 9:30 AM. We will go in procession from the funeral home to St. Joseph Church for a 10 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please donate in Hal's honor to the VietNam Veteran's of America vva.org or the Wounded Warrior Project. Due to the restrictions imposed by the state, visitation is limited to 10 people at a time. Everyone is required to properly wear a face mask and practice social distancing.
