Foran Funeral Home Begins a Little Free Library

Foran Funeral Home partnered with Little Free Library, a nonprofit organization that inspires a love of reading, builds community and improves access to books by having a little library that gives friends and neighbors the  ability to share books.  How does it work?  It’s quite simple, we initially stock the Little Free Library with a variety of books. You stop by and take whatever book you would like. You do not have to give a book at the same time as you take one.  After you’ve read it, you can bring it back or pass it on to a friend.  You can bring books to contribute when you can.   The Little Free Library is a way to share good things to read – favorite books from your childhood or books you recommend to friends: books that teach, intrigue and engage you.  We can all help by keeping the collection of books stocked with good reading material. The library belongs to everyone – neighbors, friends, anyone in the community. Anyone can use it. The Little Free Library is located in our Reflective Garden, on the  west side  of the funeral home. It’s a green school house looking book sharing box.  So feel free to come over and see if there is something you might like to read.  We will have a selection of books dealing with grief and healing along with other topics.   It’s just another way for us to show and share in our commitment to our community and hopefully spark creativity through neighborhood book sharing by this great concept.
